Strength and Fitness has always a part of my life. From a teenager, achieving my First Dan Black Belt and South African (Protea) colours in Shotokan Karate, to my career as a Production Geologist, working +3km underground in 36° heat conditions in the mining industry. My journey has not only been physical, but mental as well. Graduating at Stellenbosch as a Geologist, passing my Honour’s with Distinction and the University of Johannesburg as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in Project Management whilst on prep. My hobbie of Bodybuilding quickly became a passion. Besides the personal challenge, my greatest achievement has been the inspiration and motivation felt by women around me and the need to want to better themselves and regain their confidence, be it health or physical fitness. I believe that I would be an appropriate Ambassador not only because of my outward appearance, but because throughout my entire life, I have been breaking the stereotypes of women, emphasizing strength, education, thriving in a “mans” industry, and most importantly, confidence and comfort in ones own skin.
